Gold Card

President Donald Trump announced the Gold Card on February 25, 2025. It was suggested that the new program could replace the EB-5 visa, which is a United States visa program created by the Immigration Act of 1990. It currently provides a method for eligible Immigrant Investors to become lawful permanent residents, commonly known as "green card" holders by investing capital in a U.S. business that will create or preserve at least 10 full-time jobs for qualifying U.S. workers. Per the Gold Card announcement, the investment amount will be increased to $5 million and job creation details, if any, will be announced soon. Such a change may require Congressional approval. The current EB-5 Regional Center program is in effect until September 30, 2027.
